Take your felting skills to the next level with Reena, world-renowned Needle Felt Artist living in the stunning lower South West of Australia.

Reena has a deep love for the birdlife that surrounds her, and the Red Robin is one of her standout designs.

This workshop is perfect for those who’ve completed the Blue Wren Workshop or experienced felters looking to enhance their skills.

The Red Robin is a more complex sculpture requiring stronger felting muscles and endurance, making it ideal for those with some prior experience. Expect a lot of hands-on work as you craft this beautiful bird!

Workshop Details:

🕰️ Time: 10am to 3pm

📍 Location: Craggy Pear - 33 South Western Highway, Boyanup

What You'll Learn:

  • How to attach topcoats and two balls together

  • How to create a beak, wings, and tail

  • Creating patches of colour and blending

  • The difference between tacking and sculpting

  • Attaching wings, tail, eyes, and wreath

  • Creating feet with thread and finishing touches

  • How to repair problem areas and add secret details

  • ... and so much more!

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. We do provide aprons.

  • We aim to be inclusive. Our workshop space is accessible with flat entry and accessible restroom facilities. Let us know in advance if you have specific needs.

  • Cancellations with more than 7 days’ notice are eligible for a full refund or credit. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.
