From Heritage Church to Artisan Haven:
Craggy Pear Emporium Opens Its Doors in Boyanup

A much-loved local creative hub is blossoming into an exciting new chapter this November, as Craggy Pear Emporium gets ready to open the doors to its purpose-built home in the heart of Boyanup, Western Australia.

Founded by Natalie Jackson, Craggy Pear Emporium has become a cornerstone for South West makers, artists, and homemakers — a place where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together. After several years in her beloved heritage church building, Natalie is expanding into a larger, custom-designed space that reflects the Emporium’s growing community and vision.

“This new space has been created for our community of makers — a place to gather, learn, and feel inspired,” says Natalie. “It’s about keeping heritage crafts alive, celebrating the beauty of handmade and local art, and creating a space where creativity and connection thrive.”

The new Craggy Pear Emporium officially opens its doors on Wednesday, 20 November, with a Grand Opening Celebration on Sunday, 30 November, featuring live demonstrations, refreshments, and an exclusive $600 giveaway hamper brimming with artisan treasures from the store.

Visitors can explore an inspiring collection of Annie Sloan Chalk Paints, Ashford Wheels and Looms, fibres, yarns, and rustic homewares — all carefully curated to celebrate craftsmanship and slow, intentional living and creativity.

Workshops remain at the heart of Craggy Pear’s offering, from chalk painting and furniture restoration to spinning, weaving, and fibre art. Each class is designed to nurture creativity, preserve traditional skills, and foster meaningful connection.

“We’ve seen such an incredible response from the community,” Natalie adds. “People are genuinely excited — not just about the new shop, but about what it represents for Boyanup: connection, creativity, and regional craftsmanship.”

Located on Boyanup’s Main Street at 9 South Western Highway, the new Craggy Pear Emporium offers parking, a dedicated cosy workshop area, and a treasure trove retail space ready to welcome locals and visitors alike.
